To commemorate Veterans Day, the American Homefront Project talks with former service members about their time in the armed forces.

Dick Oliver remembers a submarine trip from San Diego to Yokusuka (Yuh KOO suh kah), Japan -- one that was made unpleasant not because of the danger or the tight confines ... but because of one particular song.
