¹ÏÉñapp's American Graduate Project is part of a nationwide public media conversation about the dropout crisis. We'll explore the issue through news reports, call-in programs and a forum produced with UNC-TV. Also as a part of this project we've partnered with the Durham Nativity School and YO: Durham to found the ¹ÏÉñapp Youth Radio Club. Chapel Hill, NC teenager Jennah Jones is also known as DJ Twice. She's part of a project in which teens listen to NPR news stories and and create alternate versions, with original hip hop soundtracks.

The project is called Remixing the ¹ÏÉñapp. It is produced by the and North Carolina Public Radio/¹ÏÉñapp.

Carol Jackson has been with ¹ÏÉñapp since 2006. As Digital ¹ÏÉñapp Editor, she writes stories for wunc.org, and helps reporters and hosts make digital versions of their radio stories. She is also responsible for sharing stories on social media. Previously, Carol spent eight years with ¹ÏÉñapp's nationally syndicated show The Story with Dick Gordon, serving as Managing Editor and Interim Senior Producer.
