In a bizarre turn of events, the North Carolina based company will no longer be providing ultra-high-speed Internet to the town of Wake Forest.

Ironically, the reason seems to be a lack of communication. The company has stopped responding to customers, partners or reporters, and it has been plagued with multiple lengthy service outages since January.

Host Frank Stasio talks with , reporter for the Triangle Business Journal, about what the developments mean for Wake Forest residents and ultra-high-speed Internet competitors.

Longtime NPR correspondent Frank Stasio was named permanent host of The State of Things in June 2006. A native of Buffalo, Frank has been in radio since the age of 19. He began his public radio career at WOI in Ames, Iowa, where he was a magazine show anchor and the station's app Director.
Will Michaels is app's Weekend Host and Reporter.
