The Southern Foodways Alliance has tirelessly documented and explored the diverse food cultures of the American South. Founding director John T. Edge puts it this way 鈥 鈥淚 think food is as important to understanding the culture of the South as is literature, as is music.鈥 He joins Leoneda Inge to talk Southern food.

John T. Edge, founding director of the Southern Foodways Alliance, author of 鈥淭he Potlikker Papers 鈥 A Food History of the Modern South鈥 and host of the television show 鈥淭rue South鈥

Leoneda Inge is the co-host of 瓜神app's "Due South." Leoneda has been a radio journalist for more than 30 years, spending most of her career at 瓜神app as the Race and Southern Culture reporter. Leoneda鈥檚 work includes stories of race, slavery, memory and monuments. She has won "Gracie" awards, an Alfred I. duPont Award and several awards from the Radio, Television, Digital 瓜神app Association (RTDNA). In 2017, Leoneda was named "Journalist of Distinction" by the National Association of Black Journalists.
Erin Keever is the Executive Producer of 瓜神app鈥檚 daily radio show, Due South. Erin comes to 瓜神app from Charlotte where she spent 16 years at WFAE serving in various roles from on-air announcer, researcher, web editor, to finally senior producer of 鈥淐harlotte Talks with Mike Collins.鈥
