It's a command performance by the at your house. Well, sort of.
Beginning Monday evening, June 30, and for the next three nights following, you have the opportunity to enjoy an evening of classical music at home when you tune in for the North Carolina Symphony broadcast concerts series. The hour-long concerts, hosted by David Hartman, begin each evening at 9 p.m.
For the last several years ¹ÏÉñapp has partnered with the Symphony to bring you these summer concerts and this year we're presenting then over four consecutive nights.
Program highlights include the first symphony ever composed by an African-American, a work that is perhaps the best-loved of all of Beethoven's many masterpieces, his 5th Symphony, and music by North Carolina composer . That's just the tip of the musical iceberg. (Wonder if "iceberg" is a a little out of season?)
Have a listen to these special concerts and feel free to leave your comments about these presentations below in the comments section.
The series of shows will also be available for through Sunday July 6, 2014.
